Indian Institute of Public Health-Delhi offers a wide range of Public Health Development Programmes (PDPs) with a key mandate to enhance public health competencies among health professionals across India. We conduct workshops in Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods, Public Health Management, Health Policy, Public Health Nutrition, Advocacy, Health communication, Ethics, and Leadership in Health and Development sectors. These training programmes are attended by Health professionals, Clinical and Public Health researchers, Program managers, and Social scientists from academic institutes, NGOs and Health Systems across India and also outside the country.Hosting these variety of academic events has been a rewarding experience in terms of providing a boost to the public health sector of the country. The training programmes have been designed and aligned considering the needs of various stakeholders. Some of these PDPs have received support and funds from both national and international organizations. The key strengths of our trainings programmes are; skill based training modules designed contents designed for multidisciplinary nature of the participants, short duration (3-7 days), high standards of teaching by in-house experienced faculty, affordable registration fee and efficient administration.
Since its inception in November 2008 until December 2015, IIPH-D has successfully delivered 256 trainings, enhancing the skills and capacity of 6220 participants.
