Position Title : Oracle Application/System Database Administrator

Location : Gurgaon

Duration of Position : One year initially (to be extended based on performance of the incumbent or need of the Organization)

Deliverables:

  • Create and maintain enterprise databases required for development, testing and production usage.
  • Lead Installation of new versions of the Oracle & MySQL RDBMS and other integrated tools that access the Oracle database.
  • Undertaking Installation, upgrades, migrations and patch management of Oracle E-Business suite Environments (Database and Applications).
  • Control migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle and maintains source code repository
  • Plan and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database and other organization’s databases.
  • Implement and enforces security for all of the Databases.
  • Perform database re-organization as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
  • Put standards in place to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. Perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to.
  • Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.
  • Periodical health check-up of the databases and perform ongoing tuning of database Instances
  • Provides technical support to application development teams and end-users of ERP application within the organization. This is usually in the form of a help desk.
  • Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
  • Creation of database and application users and assign the appropriate roles and responsibility as per the organization’s policy.
  • Configuration and Monitoring of Workflow Mailer of Oracle EBS.
  • Maintains MIS with all KPIs and presents timely to Head IT
  • Participates actively in development of new systems for the business and acts as catalyst to deliver as per agreed timelines
  • Liaison with Partners and Vendors
  • Attend to other IT related works as and when assigned.

Qualification:

Essential
  • Basic degree in Engineering/ IT / Computer Science/MCA with a experience of around 6-7 years.
  • OCP certified professionals would be given a preference.
  • Strong Understanding of Oracle Application suite – hands on experience in administration & management of different versions & upgrade from 11i, R12.1 to 12.2
  • Good Exposure on Oracle Database – hands on experience in administration & management of different versions and upgrades from 10g, 11g to 12c
  • Able to translate business requirements in technical solutions.
  • Efficient in writing DB queries, schedulers and configuration management,
  • Experienced with roles allocation within Oracle and segregation of duties
  • Thourough understanding of WebLogic Administration
  • Strong Analytical skills and troubleshooting skills for day to day operations
  • Good Exposure on back up/restoration policies and strategies – hands on experience in taking backups/ scheduling - RMAN ASM AD Utilities DB patching refresh/cloning etc.
  • Proven ability to raise/followup SRs with vendors/ OEMs and work through SRs with Oracle for efficient closure of critical issues
  • Have exposure to Disaster Recovery / DR Drills.
  • Excellent communication Skills – Written and Verbal
  • Ability to work effectively with team and share knowledge
  • Ability to perform both Oracle and Operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments for performance improvements
  • Working knowledge of Operating System(s) – Windows/ Linux/ Solaris etc.

Experience:

  • Experience of around 6 to 7 Years

Annual Salary (CTC) will commensurate with the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
