Position Title : Consultant

Location : Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Duration of Position : 3 Months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.

Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.  PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centres of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief:

This project is funded by Department of Science & Technology. The objective is to identify issues and propose recommendations for improvement in Gujarat’s 3-tier (VCNC, CMTC and NRC) approach for integrated management of malnourished children in the State. The results of this project will help Dept. of Health & Family Welfare (GoG) to identify issues and propose recommendations for improvement in Gujarat’s 3-tier approach for integrated management of malnourished children in the State.


  • Fieldwork planning and field visits to SCs/AWCs.
  • To develop data collection tools
  • To conduct interviews and data collection using standard questionnaires.
  • To record and enter data using printed form.
  • Assisting in data entry and analysis.
  • Data collection as per requirement .
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by supervisor/PI.


  • Post Graduate in social work or related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, word and access.
  • Proactive, self-motivated individual with willingness to travel and work for extended hours.


  • Field experience of working in public health.

Annual Salary (CTC) will commensurate with the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
