PHFI Foundation Day
March 28 2008
India Habitat Centre
Two years ago, the Public Health Foundation of India was launched by Dr. Manmohan Singh, Honourable Prime Minister of India on March 28 in New Delhi. Celebrating our Foundation Day for the first time. PHFI is pleased to announce its first Foundation Day Lecture, an oration to be delivered by a distinguished leader in a public health area of great national and global significance.
In the year 2008, we focus on the challenges posed by global climate change for public health. In recognition of worldwide concern emerging over climate change we are keen to highlight the strong linkages that exist between climate change and human health.
Professor Anthony J McMichael, NHMRC Australia Fellow at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, The Australian National University, Canberra delivers this year’s Foundation Day Lecture on “Environment, Climate and Health: An Expanded Public Health Research and Policy Agenda for the 21st Century”.
The PHFI Foundation Day 2008 event will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Center, New Delhi. Kindly contact Ms Harita Upreti (harita.upreti@phfi.org) if you wish to attend the function.
PHFI thanks the Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation (NJKF) for co-organising this event as part of the NJKF’s climate change series .
