Senior Lecturer
Somen Saha has received his MPH from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA and MBA in Health Management from Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur, India. He has worked in the area of health systems management for more than 7 years now. Somen’s work includes health financing including working on Microfinance and Health, program monitoring and evaluation, and management of public health programs. He provided technical consultancy to INCLEN in mid-term review of National AIDS Control Program Phase III, and is involved in a cost analysis study of SURESTART project by PATH in Maharashtra, and economic analysis of Norway India Partnership Initiative in Rajasthan and Orissa. During his past work, he has coordinated a Mental Health Pilot &Research Project for the state of Gujarat involving 14 NGOs. He provided technical support in conceptualization of Chiranjeevi Scheme in Gujarat. At a policy level, he provided technical support in financial planning of the third phase of National AIDS Control Program in India. Somen has published in several national journals in India.
