His areas of interest are Clinical Epidemiology, Immunization, Reproductive & Child Health, Geriatrics, Bioethcis, and Monitoring & Evaluation of Programmmes.

Dr. Ganguly has obtained an MBBS, an MD in Community Medicine, and an M.Phil in Hospital & Health Systems Management. He has 9 years of experience in teaching, training, and research as Faculty in Medical Colleges and other Institutes of repute. He has 8 years of experience in Program management, training of all categories of field manpower, monitoring & evaluation and coordination with different stakeholders at the State Headquarters level working with World Health Organization in National Polio Surveillance Program (NPSP-India). At IIPH-G, he is involved in teaching, training, research, assisting the Director in overall administration of the Institute, and advocacy to State Government in Public Health issues.
