A Post Graduate Diploma in Health Economics, Health Care Financing and Health Policy is scheduled to be launched in November, 2008 at IIPH – Delhi. The course is directed to increase awareness and appreciation of the need for incorporating an economics perspective to various public health issues. It aims to provide a basic understanding of the key issues in health economics and economic evaluation for informed decision making. Persons eligible for the course are expected to have completed a Masters in Economics or other Social Sciences or have graduated in medical and AYUSH programmes. Mid-level professionals and civil service staff with experience or an interest in the health care sector or related fields may also apply. |
