Project Brief:

The HIV/AIDS Partnership: Impact through Prevention, Private Sector and Evidence-based Programming (PIPPSE) Project is managed by a Consortium, led by PHFI as the Principal Recipient and, Futures Group, CARE India and Population Services International (PSI), as Sub Recipients. The PIPPSE Project aims to “strengthen the institutional and human capacity in prevention programs and private sector engagement through innovative approaches to contribute to achieving the goal of accelerating the reversal of HIV epidemic at the national and state levels.” The project will achieve its goal through: (1) evidence-informed, demand-driven technical assistance to NACO and SACS in five focus states (Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh), to improve the quality of TI programs for Most At Risk Populations (MARPs) and Migrants; and to promote private sector engagement in HIV/AIDS programs and services; and (2) Promotion and sustaining innovations and demonstration models to improve the coverage and access of MARPs and Migrants to a continuum of prevention-to-care services.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief of Party, PIPPSE Project, Program Manager will be overall responsible for effective management and coordination of the PIPPSE Project. The Program Manager will have the following main responsibilities and duties:

  • Coordination with Key Personnel of the PIPPSE Project
  • Coordination with the Consortium Partners of the PIPPSE Project
  • Coordination with the Donor, NACO and SACS in focus states
  • Conduct regular review meetings of Key Personnel and PMU and prepare and disseminate the approved minutes
  • Liaise regularly with all related bodies, organizations, internal and external agencies and any other governmental or non-governmental authorities to develop a good working relationship and ensure the smooth running of the project
  • Submit periodic reports to the Donor and other key stakeholders
  • Identify capacity building needs and organize training of key stakeholders
  • Provide backstop support to Senior Prevention and Research Specialists in prevention and research related activities
  • Provide technical and logistic support to Knowledge Management Specialist
  • Support the Key Personnel to monitor and evaluate program activities
  • Update the program files of Key Personnel and PMU, periodically
  • Undertake extensive field travel for supportive supervision
  • Any other task, assigned by the Chief of Party.

Desired profile of the candidate:

  • Master’s degree in public health, social work or sociology or other related social development field
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience in the non-profit development sector
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Office), communication tools and handling of web based management systems
  • Proven experience in developing annual action plan and performance monitoring plan
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability in a multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Motivated, energetic, thorough, and responsive to the needs and interests of peers
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Hindi is essential.

Compensation Offered: Will be based on qualification and experience.
