Supporting Public Health Cause Our supporters recognise the critical role that public health has to play in India’s development. They are a group and network of individuals and institutions who believe that investing in India’s health is an important determinant of the well-being of its people and its success going forward. Our supporters are diverse and global, emphasising the importance of not just ‘public health in India’ but also ‘India for global public health’, given the large share of India’s population in global population. How You Can Support? Create an Endowment An endowment establishes a fund, which provides annual support through the income from the fund to the program that you have chosen to support. This could be for providing support to the activities of Public Health Foundation of India/ the Indian Institutes of Public Health, supporting development of infrastructure such as classrooms and labs, establishing a Staff/ Faculty Chair or a Scholarship Fund. There are several ways to structure the endowment, and this could be customised depending on the objective you have in mind. Support a Special Project There are several opportunities to fund a project at any of the Indian Institutes of Public Health, Centres of Excellence or Special Initiatives of the Foundation, across education, training, research, communication and health systems work. We can work with you to conceptualise the project given the public health aspect you would like to address. You will receive updates and the opportunity to engage and observe how your funding is making a positive impact. Unrestricted Support Funds without restrictions allow flexibility in deployment. It enables the Foundation to use in areas where its most needed or to fund special projects.
