Programme Manager – Training Division

Mr. Kapil is Post Graduate in Healthcare Management from Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur; a leading institution in the field of health management in this country. He has received various trainings by MEASURE Evaluation, USA, IIM- Ahmedabad, SPIPA- Ahmedabad and IIHMR- Jaipur. He is working with various projects, academic and training programmes conducting by PHFI with central/state governments and other agencies. He is keenly focused towards the area of Training, Programme Planning and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation and GIS. He was the main lead for the training programmes conducted by PHFI including ToT for School Health Programme (Orissa and Meghalaya), Orientation Programme for District Vector Borne Disease Consultants under World Bank project, Various National Rural Health Mission Trainings (Meghalaya, Sikkim, Uttarakhand), Data Management and Use for Action (Chhattisgarh), Using Management Tools to Improve District Health Services. He was one of the faculty member in Regional workshop for Monitoring and Evaluation for PHN and HIV/AIDS, GIS Application in Public Health jointly organized by PHFI and MEASURE Evaluation. He has developed training modules for various training programmes conducted by Training Division, PHFI.

He has worked with Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat for around three years. He has worked in tribal area like Dahod and in coastal areas including Bhavnagar, Amreli, Porbandar and Junagadh. He has contributed his expertise in policy and planning with Commissionerate of Health, Gujarat for around one year. His professional management skills and experience includes State level, District level and grass root level planning for NRHM/RCH-II with managing areas of institutional development, training, identifying and addressing cross cutting issues and incorporating in management process, organizational representation & negotiation, networking and advocacy, stakeholders / partners coordination, documentation and dissemination process. He was also involved in implementation of Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana in the Gujarat state. Some of his projects were related to preparing the District Health Action Plans and State Health Action Plan for Gujarat state. He was actively associated in various training programmes with the health department and other reputed institutions. He was involved in NABH accreditation of hospital, CHCs and PHCs in Gujarat State. He has been awarded by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat for his valuable contribution at the various levels in delivering the better healthcare to the community.
