Field Interviewer
Position: Field Interviewer (Four positions)
Organisation: Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), New Delhi
The Centre of Cardiometabolic risk Reduction in South Asia (CARRS) is an initiative at the Public Health Foundation of India. CARRS is developing and implementing (a) a model sentinel surveillance scheme capturing population-based cardiometabolic disease risk factor data; and (b) a randomized controlled translation trial to evaluate implementation of low-cost, multi-factorial, multi-faceted, innovative, scalable and sustainable delivery improvement strategies for cardiovascular disease risk reduction. CARRS will serve as a global research hub, train world-class investigators and build research capacity, and produce and disseminate innovative, science-driven, and low-cost solutions.

Job Description:
The Field Interviewer will contribute to the implementation of the surveillance study in the following manner:
- Engage the community leaders and brief them about the study objectives to assure the cooperation of their communities for the study
- Conduct listing and mapping of targeted households
- Visit randomly selected study subjects to motivate them for being a part of the research study
- Conduct interviews of eligible subjects on standardized questionnaires at baseline and then on yearly basis
- Perform anthropometric and clinical measurements and prepare weekly progress reports
- Counsel enrolled individuals on giving biological specimens and facilitate its collection process
- Disburse lab results to the study participants and keep records
- Follow-up of defaulter cases (those who do not turn up for follow-up)
- Assist with editing and entering of data collected during survey and follow-up visits
- Maintain record of all individuals, ensure their timely follow-up
- Maintain strict confidentiality of participant data
- Assist in conducting in depth-interview and Focus group Discussions (FGD)
- Report to the Site Coordinator
- Any other task as assigned by the Investigators
Competencies/ Skill sets required
- Education: A degree in social science, social work, nursing and nutrition
- Two year experience in health research studies
- Excellent communication skills in Hindi
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualification
